L4D Reloading sounds [ZP SUPPORTED]

DESCRIPTION :
This plugin playes Reloadingsounds while user reloads his weapon and adds more effects in Gameplay.
  • 1. Reload-sounds while reloading
  • 2. ReloadBar while reloading
  • 3. User can choose between Male and Female character
  • 4. Weapon icons will show users weapon status
  • 5. Makes the usersicon in Radar flashing.
  • 6. Sends a Chat message to all teammates.
  • 7. Supports Location of player in Counter-Strike:Condition Zero
THE IDEA:
Give more support to the user which needs backup while Reloading the weapon.
Cvars :
  • amx_reload_bar 1/0 //Turns Reloadbar on/off
  • amx_reload_sound 1/0 //Turns Reloadsounds on/off
  • amx_character_menu 1/0 //Turns the Character menu on/off ( off = random character for all )
  • amx_radiomessages 1/0 //Turns Textmessages on/off
  • amx_show_icons 1/0 //Turns showing of Weaponicons on/off
Default : all cvars ON!

Client Commands:

  • say /character
  • say/reload

FIXES IN NEW VERSION :

  • 1. Added Icons in Curweapon
  • 2. Hooked the Reload event with Ham_Weapon_Reload
  • 3. Added more sounds ( male & female )
  • 4. Added a menu to choose the character ( Male,Female or Random )
  • 5. Added /character , /reload commands to change the players Character
  • 6. Fixed Radio Commands ( emit_sounds ) "Only Teammates can hear the Radio command.
  • 7. Added Random character to player after joining the Server ( as default )
  • 8. Fixed Flashing user icon in Radar.
  • 9. Added on/off cvar ( amx_reload_sounds 1/0)
  • 10. Fixed the Icon colors.
    • * Green = When user has enough Clip & Ammo
    • * Yello = When user has less Clip
    • * Red = when user has no Ammo & clip
  • 11. Added Own Include file
  • 12. Added Reloadbar
  • 13. Added more Cvars to turning the functions on/off
  • 14. Removed Include file
  • 15. Changed sounds directory to sounds/radio/

Probably, but it would need some changes and I would try another method to check if player in the PVS of another player.

i test the plugin,work very good on pistols when i`m reloading.
But on weapons rarely works.
When i`m reloading my pistol appeairs: pistol symbol (left screen),radio name (Reloading) and i hear the sound.

this is cuz i wanted to block spam. there are many ppl. which has 29/30 & reloads.. this is just spam. i wanted to make anything which helps ppl. to get backup :P this should be a bigger thing. we wanted to check the position of player & print this like : playername(radio) : reloading @ bomb side B

or somthing like this. maybe ill update this & release later a new version. idk

There are a few mistakes and optimizations that can be made, however it is acceptable.

I mean that

Code:

Playes sounds only when the player has less then 5 ammo & has clip ( if 0 clip, no sound)
Could you make it to play sound if you hasn't less than 5 ammo and play sound if reload is automaticly?

Really nice plugin, does your enemies hear the reload sound? Does your teammates here it in radio or just when they are close?

Anyway, I found the sounds annoying and hope you can add a cvar to turn it off/on if possible as I've even edited your plugin to not use or even precache the sound files, as I found it simple just to not have the sound files avaible, but at the same time some people might have already downloaded them ^^

only your teammate can hear the sound.
enemy can't hear it.

I request this to be unapproved.
Using PlayerPrethink to cehck weapon and draw some icon is obviously a major erro that should have prevent this plugin from being approved.

i think your problem are only the icons or only me!

preThink() is called very very often and all the time, when you could call Ham_Item_Deploy for example, which is called one time.

"Think" in my plugin is not the same since the interval is 0.3 seconds and I don't change weapons and such. Not the same at all with your "preThink".

I agree. For some reason, I missed that completely when I was looking at this. I actually know first-hand how bad it is to do sprite rendering in PreThink because I did it at one point for one of my plugins. Even with just 3-4 players each with a sprite, it can slow the server down to a crawl. Anyway, thanks for the catch.

Ok, how i understood " you just want to unapprove all my plugins. usualy you give other ppl. xx days time to fix this but in this case 'oh its a plugin of One,unapproved without fix time'

and how i can see, there is my freeday manager unaproved too. without any reasons..

I give time if I think there's potential in it or I actually like the idea.

lol you mean "I give time if I think there's potential in it or I actually like the idea."

there are 2 cases :
1. you give time to update if you think i have the potential to update my plugin
2. you give time to update if you like the Idea

my answer :

case 1 : you can not know if i have the potential to update the plugin. so go to case 2

case 2 : you dont like the Idea.

Yeah, I can't, but I can make an educated guess. It's not like I permanently deleted it anyway. The temper tantrum you're throwing is just discouraging me from approving this in the future if you actually do update it.

Other error in your plugin is that you use set_task for cool down, you should just set a Float per player global variable and set in it the next gametime at which player can send a sound.


To detect weapon reload (you were using prethink), look at this code : http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthr...540#post777540
Should find something to make it work fine with shotguns.


Other think i think is bad (not the code, but feature), you should use SendAudio message so only teamates would here the reload sound, you could even implement location on cz, you can look at this code for it : http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=573867


Last, i don't think that the woman voice is fine in this plugin, i mean it is randomly played.
Could be used if player choose to be a girl, so that player would always have a woman voice (except for other radios...) and other players would always have men sounds.


As Hawk said, this plugin has nice features, please try to make the code better.

i will try to rewrite it in the next days.
but for first : only teammates can hear the reload sound. this works like a normal radio cmd but i willl check it again
and secund thing : i dont own l4d because i dont like the gameplay.could you please upload any sounds which i can precache or attach?

PS. good idea, i will make a menu in sethud event to ask a player for woman or a man!

i just tough this plugin will never be approved again because i wrote 2day that i will update this & i will do it for sure :D
