Maybe better if change path
...cfg/abc_123/x_server_qwerty.cfg

And not add that rcon_password any cfg file, just only in launch parameters...

And can be change default autoexec.cfg to different name or add in sub-folder

It's comprehensive, Thanks for your instruction! Now I got it.

This bug:

Invalid RCON Crash

SRCDS will crash on some machines if you attempt to use an incorrect rcon password too many times. It seems that some machines are affected by this, while others are not. Valve has been notified a few times, and has been unwilling/unable to fix this.
 • Fix: Firewall off rcon (TCP port 27015) from everyone except for certain whitelisted IP's.

was fixed by Valve on Thu Sep 2 15:05:17 PDT 2010

A required update to Team Fortress 2 is now available. Please run hldsupdatetool to receive the update. The specific changes include:

Engine (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2):
- Fixed a server crash caused by spamming the server with invalid rcon passwords.

I really wish members could update the Wiki, it has some rather outdated information / could use some more articles IE an IPTables tutorial.

Is this Wiki up to date?
I'm unsure if some of the items listed are obsolete.

That would have little value, If a hacker is able to edit the autoexec.cfg file you have already lost on top of that if you change it's name or location then it will not be exec every map (hit the name). You would be better off using the start up command line to set your rcon there and use something like SMAC to prevent it from changing.

A good portion of exploits are fixed with that plugin system by Kigen, Psychonic, GoD-Tony, etc. He verified that the rcon locker plugins is no longer needed if you use SMAC's rcon system. I didn't see SMAC anywhere in this thread so I'm gonna post it here. :C

Yea, a good idea to update that wiki page.
Another important exploit should be added to there is:
