Counter-Strike should be free to play?
Dproto aka non steam option messed up this game that why valve should make counter-strike free to play like tf2. I'm sure someone will say just don't play in non steams servers but how I can find steamed servers if half of server browser list servers are cracked? Also, you will say do not host a server with crack but why people crack server? Because half of players don't even own a legal copy of counter-strike. This would give chance get more legit steamed players with server browser and server boosting services would die out?
What should valve do? Make a GLTS token system like in cs:go to host a server in counter-strike and servers would get banned for using a FAKE bots and other bad plugins. Well if valve still wants to earn from this game they should add some game coin pins like in cs:go. I just wanted a conversation about this big issue in counter-strike community. |

This is a forum for technical support. It is not for discussing the business decisions of Valve. If you want to discuss that, you should do that with Valve or on their own forums. If you want to discuss it in this community, you should post in Off-Topic.

I've been thinking the same thing. There's no point in selling a game when cracked versions are far more popular.

Re: Counter-Strike should be free to play?
CS 1.6 is currently $0.99 USD on steam.
Even peeps from 3rd world countries should be able to afford that... |
