yellow tf2 chat color
 

someone said that it was 0x06, but that gives me black colored text.

its the new item found chat color for tf2, and i want to use really bad. :(

in fact all the colors are the same, cept 6 and higher are all black for me now

Uhh thats odd. Only yellow doesnt work for me, ya it looks black.

All the other colors work fine here...

You need VALVe hacks.

I'm guessing they've changed it and made it a bit harder to access to avoid us making code to fake their awesome yellow colors'n'stuff >_>

According to Atreus it's only yellow if someone got an item that map, it was definitely yellow when I added it to Advertisements yesterday.

This happened on my fake items plugin for me, but others saw yellow, it's some kind of visual glitch I'm assuming, since I saw yellow eventually.

EDIT: The last few posts explain alot.

Would it be possible to fire the item_found event at the start of each map in order for the text to appear yellow?

i think the client has to see the item found event before any artificial yellow text will work for them.

so you'd have to fire the event every time someone connects... and that's just silly. :p
