Cs 1.6 rcon hacking
 

hey guys

there was a player in my server he could like shutdown my server and restart and choose map even if he dont admin or i never gave him my rcon or password

and he is doing like in the video

now he can do what he do in my server :(

im very angry idk how i stop that

i tried to ip and ban him

and he comes back


anyone any idea

how to block this?

That video explains a method that will never work if you use SteamID for AMX Mod X admin authentication. He is not "hacking into rcon".

Also, if you read and understood the amxx.cfg you would know that that method will not work (assuming you follow the advice in the file).

Are you the only admin for the server? If you are the only one then the hacker is not using the video you linked to to hack your server. He probably has your actual rcon password, change it or disable it. Also, change the password on your GSP account.

how can i do that just my ip or my steamid can accsess the rcon

and what is gps

if its liek game server

then i dont have it

i host my server on my computer

i had a plugin or something that do that i can admin the server in webbrowser

i removed that becuase i have heard that it can let the hackers hack me easier becuase they can accsess my computer files


so any idea how to make that just my ip or my steamid can accsess the rcon?

You can't limit rcon access to a SteamID or IP when using the actual rcon of the server. You can limit an AMX Mod X admin's access by not giving them the rcon flag.

Remove your rcon password from server.cfg to disable [actual] rcon completely. (rcon_password "")

and use so i do the rcon in server.cfg from

rcon_password "xxxxxxxxxxxxx"

to

rcon_password ""

or just remove whole part?

rcon_password "" will completely disable rcon commands, however, if you change your rcon password and don't tell it to anybody, he shouldn't have access to it.

If he still has access to rcon, it might mean that he has a keylogger on your computer.

I think that video he link'ed to is probably hist guess and concern about his problem (what I've understood so far), nothing else. There should be any other reason behind it.
