"couldnt allocate dedicated server IP port 27015"
I am helping a buddy out with getting his server up. I ran him through all the steps i did to get mine up. He is using hlds and has already port forwarded the port 27015. But when he goes to start up hlds he gets the error "couldnt allocate dedicated server IP port 27015". Does anybody know whats going on? Could he have portforwarded wrong?
-Thanks for your help in advance |
Re: "couldnt allocate dedicated server IP port 27015"
Hehehe :P Im the guy hes trying to help out lol. My router is a BTHomeHub - 0AC7, incase you were wondering, however, I followed a guide for just a "BT Home Hub". It told me to forward ports 1200,27000 to 27015 and 27020 to 27039. I followed that, and then Mr. Bus driver told me that I only needed 27015. Although when I followed the tutorial, I could get the server up, just no one could connect to it, as they got "Server Not responding." So ya, little help :D
Thank you in advance also. :] |
Re: "couldnt allocate dedicated server IP port 27015"
Check the portforwarding (www.portforward.com). Also make sure that the Firewalls are open (Both external firewall and windows firewall). :)

Re: "couldnt allocate dedicated server IP port 27015"
Clearly, you don't have enough ram. If your computer is lagging with a game + hlds running.
