Recommended server provider and specs for my L4D2 server?
 

Hi,

I'm planning to rent a server to host my L4D2 versus game.

My requirements:
1) Server location: Singapore
2) Able to host 20 players
3) Able to install mods/plugins
4) Able to ran the mod that increased the number of zombies in the game without lag
5) Able to push download the add-ons map and skins installed on the server to the user's game client
6) DDoS protected

Which server provider and the specs would you recommend for the above requirements?

Budget wise, preferably not more than $15 USD / mth unless really necessary.

Feel free to include any other things that I missed out if you feel is needed.

You can get a server for around $15 USD with streamline. 20 slot 66 tick on @ 4.3ghz or you can downgrade cpu to 3.9ghz and it's even cheaper. Their ddos protection is also good and good support. Includes fastdl and sql database.

I think I'm going for gameserver this time.

I used to rent a VPS with WeLoveServers but it keep crashing and sometimes they told me my server got DDoS attacked.

So you tried verygames? I saw some bad reviews on them. Anyway, they are kinda out of my budget, it cost me 13 pounds.

Yeah, seems like this will be my first choice for now.

I saw the fastdl add-ons but not the sql database, which option is that?

Go to mod manager then install MySQL Database
