audio drivers

Hey, so there was a little problem with my sound so I decided to reinstall my audio drivers, I uninstalled them successfuly, but now I can't install them, because on the end of installation I'm getting an error message, it says like:

No audio device found ! Please reboot your system...

I tried rebooting, it doesn't help...

Where can the problem be ???

BTW. Tryed to install more than 3 of SoundMax drivers... and 2 of Realtek's

on BIOS it says I've got AC`97 drivers (It's realtek), But I know I've got an integrated (SoundMAX) too...

Re: audio drivers

What operating system? Did you try windows update? (<== best try first)
Did you search the manufacturers forum?

AC`97 drivers will be at your MB manufacturers website under your MB download page.
Soundmax I dont have any idea is it a card or an onboard device? if its onboard It will also be at your MB manufacturer website and if its onboard and not at you MB manufacturers download page ignore it.

using Win 7? Win update should take care of everything, post some specs

Who made your Motherboard? Asus? Gigabyte? Go to the website, go to support / downloads and look for their latest release drivers. Do you know your Motherboard model/version?

If you do not know who made your board, or what model it is, it is usually written on the board itself. Take the side off your computer and then use your eyes.

Re: audio drivers

socket 478, sure its not P4P800-X

P4P regardless they all use the same driver - LATEST
ADI1888 SoundMAX Audio Driver version 5.12.01.3630 WHQL driver

Go to http://support.asus.com.tw, download in top menu, select product "motherboard" select series "socket 478" choose your motherboard (p4p800 should do) click Search, Select OS (xp)

Why are you installing Realtek drivers?
