Could not find IVEngineServer
 

I tried installing Metamod 1.7 for Left4Dead on Windows. I even made a vdf file for it, when when I try running the game it soon crashes at the loading screen with this error

Engine Error:
Could not find IVEngineServer! Metamod cannot load.

My vdf file looks like this

{
"file" "..\left4dead\addons\metamod\bin\server.d ll"
}

Might want to take the space out between "d" and "ll".

I don't know why it does that on the forum, but trust me when I say there's no space in the file itself

..\left4dead\addons\metamod\bin\server.dll

"file" "..\left4dead\addons\metamod\bin\server.d ll"

any luck on getting it going?

Mine is now doing the same...

I have even tried scrapping everything and doing a fresh install of L4D2 dedicated server and MetaMod. I still get this error about not able to find IVEngineServer.
