Valve Hammer Editor compiler problem..

Hello.

I am beginner in mapping, so I made a random map and I want to compile it to see what I done, but my Valve Hammer Editor 3.5.2, in the moment that I "Run Map" option and press OK, it doesn't work.

It just exit from program and create a .map file but I need a .bsp file.

How can I compile a map, have a tutorial ? I am using Windows 10.

Thanks.

Use J.A.C.K instead of VHE

Not sure if it'll work for CS 1.6 as I've never played it, but it works for most current Source engine games, so I can suggest VBCT;

Quote:

This tool allows you to compile Source .VMF maps while outside of Hammer and without slowing down the computer. It makes compiling a breeze and you can edit maps or use your computer at the same time.
Again, not sure if it'll work for 1.6 but I use it.
