Re: [L4D] Director Controller (All4Dead)

Im still on 1.4.3 its works good, when forced tank, we got 3-4 tanks per level, but not witches.
When forced witch, we got 3-4 witches but not tanks.
(in both this cases director off, random on and consistency on)
We would enjoy if we could force the same 3-4 tanks and 3-4witches when both force tank and force witch options on. But in this case only witches spawned.

Also as far as i tested, if director on, it also uses his own logic to spawn bosses, despite force commands, so it could cause if forced and director decide to spawn a tank for example, as result we got 2 tanks spawned at same time, its rediculous. So if u decide to use forced commands and random logic with consistency i advise to turn off the director, dont affraid as other stuff (medpacks , molotovs etc) spawn as normal.

Also it would be fun, if each team could force against 1-2 panic events, that not triggered by admin, but by plugin and for both teams.

Any ideas, why forced witch and forced tank 1 doesnt work? only witches spawned.

Re: [L4D] Director Controller (All4Dead)

I have no clues what to do if both:
director_force_tank 1
director_force_witch 1
director decide to spawn multiply witches, instead of mixing tanks/witches
i dont know this mechanism.
Any ideas to force dicector spawn multiply witches/tanks 50/50 per map?
I just got 4-5 witches but no tanks. I want achieve at least 2 tanks and 2 witches, more is welcome too.

I modified this plugin myself and achieved that anyway one tank spawn.
Also randomize and consistency off, it has no effect for director multiply spawns so i turned it off both.

Hi AcidTester,

I has a theory. I am pretty sure that the director will not spawn a witch and a tank practically next to each other normally. Tank placement is governed by two convars with regards to how often they can spawn and when. If director_spawn_tank is on the game will spawn a tank every time is is able (taking into account these convars).

Basically if the director is spamming tanks it is very unlikely (maybe impossible) that the director will spawn a witch.

I am considering adding an option to All4Dead in the next version which will allow you to set a minimum and a maximum amount of tanks and witches to spawn a map. The spawning itself would be governed by random timers rather than flow control. Would this do what you wanted?

Yes that would be nice, also i prefere random control of director, on big maps it decide to spawn 3-4 tanks, on 1st map it spawn 1 tank and 1 witch.
So about manually controlling quantity of tanks/witches spam per map, also include "Random flow" option.

Waiting forward for it, good luck.

Is it just me, or since the latest update, does it not save settings?

The settings are now stored in a new configuration file which can be found under left4dead/cfg/sourcemod/plugin.all4dead.cfg. The settings in this file are loaded every time the map changes.

Shouldn't the settings save though?

Hi - I've just attempted at playing a versus game on Dead Air using your plugin. I joined via IP, changed it to Dead Air by vote and then changed it to enable versus. At this point it displayed as 8 spaces in the server browser and on HLSW and I was able to join the infected team (obviously enabling a bot team before switching).

However, when a fifth player attempted join via IP the game reported itself as full to them. (I had switched back to survivor and disabled the bot team at this point)

Anybody able to point out to me where I am going wrong?

I realise you are trying to be helpful, but it is definitely possible. Why else do you think the plugin designer included such an option?
