[HL2DM] Customguns
 
This is the latest project I've been working on in the past few months.

This plugin adds support for additional weapons, which are fully configurable themselves via weapon scripts.
  • Also included is a custom weapon switcher which is used to draw the selection menu to clients. This is activated by holding the reload button.
  • In a nutshell, all of this is accomplished by changing the classname (thx) of the almighty cubemap weapon with a bit of DHooks on top.

Here's an example gamemode with custom scripted weapon - Cannonball!
Usable for FFA (mp_teamplay 0) or as base for other scripted weapons or modes.

After installing type !cannon to start the cannon-only gamemode. Type it again to end it or wait until the map ends.

Once again nice work on this mod but I am having some issues with it ...

On my HL2TDM server had no problems making the OICW work but will not show up on my COOP server , and on both the MOLOTOV shows up on both but cant toss them ?

I have seen on several other severs the use of more guns like the TAO and Flare , and the chain gun in the video you posted ,are there Game scripts available for these ?

Thank you for still supporting an 11 year old game , I no longer run my servers 24/7 but still enjoy playing when I have time with old friends

Hi, sometimes moving files (weapon script, models, materials, sounds) from the custom folder to the game folder works, due to read restrictions (?). So try using the hl2mp/scripts, hl2mp/models folders instead, but keep game_sounds_* inside custom.
Also, if not all files download to the client, try adding the missing files manually in each weapon script.

Both flare gun and the Tau gun are possible to create with a plugin. I haven't made them yet and likely won't as they're not so necessary for bouncy. The minigun is also exclusive but it's actually possible to make just by configuring the weapon script.

Well tried everythging still see the Molotov but cant seem to toss it ...
I did get the Gauss to show up and it looks good just cant figure out how to make it fire the sprites and sound , it acts just like an ar2 but does look good just dont know scripting all that well .
But I must say your mod makes bringing in the models and selecting them in game easy :)

Ok Ill give that a try , im not using your mod on Coop btw.
maybe you can give me the WeaponData setting I need for the minigun since i did get that to work , im using the same one as for the OICW and it fires but not rapid just one shot at a time ..
