Vote Mute / Vote Silence 1.0.105
 

Mic spammers and chatty people can now be muted or silenced by popular demand.

There are two versions: votemute and votemute_p

Votemute is the standard one, where admins can initiate votes.

Votemute_p is a version where any player can initiate a vote.

Usage

• sm_votegag <player>
  

Starts a votegag on a player.

• sm_votemute <player>
  

Starts a votemute on a player.

• sm_votesilence <player>
  

Starts a votemute on a player.

• !votemute or /votemute
  
  In chat, brings up a menu to begin a votemute

• !votesilence or /votesilence
  
  In chat, brings up a menu to begin a votemute
• !votegag or /votegag
  
  In chat, brings up a menu to begin a votegag

Installation

• ADMIN VERSION - votes can only be initiated by players with admin permissions
  Copy votemute.smx to addons/sourcemod/plugins
  
  OR
• PUBLIC VERSION - any player can initiated a votemute/votesilence
  Copy votemute_p.smx to addons/sourcemod/plugins

Configuration

• sm_votemute_limit 0.6
  default: 0.3
  Sets the percentage of votes required to mute someone

Notes
Has been tested with TF2 but should work with other mods.

This script has been pretty much taken from the basevotes.sp and basekick.sp scripts by AlliedModders LLC and adapted.

Gagging also prevents players from using voicemenu.

Can you add it so players can type votemute in chat to mute someone.

It should already work.
In chat type

!votemute <playername>

But for players, like voteban, votemute a player by typing votemute in chat.

Can you make it so when a player types in votemute a menu is brought up featuring different names to choose from to nominate?

A menu is now called when !votemute or /votemute is called from chat.

Mind if I edit it and change it to just "votemap"? Also, does this plugin require any other SM base plugins to work?

One thing I would like is for it to recognize sm_vote_delay, so that people cannot spam votes.
