Testing Plugin
 

I would like to install an aimbot to test the effectiveness of this plugin myself, but is it possible to do without ruining my steam account?

Any of the moderators familiar with a way to self-test this somehow? I noticed a player was within the normal range for shooting commons on my l4d2 server, but seemed to lock on to almost every special - and found this.

I wouldn't recommend using an account you cherish
Create a new Steam account and purchase a fresh copy of the game you want to test on.
Create your own private server.

And run steam, the game (with the -insecure launch command to prevent VAC from loading) and the hack inside sandboxie

Does anyone know the fail rate of this plugin? On a 1-100% scale, how plausible is it that someone could be cheating and not be caught?

Are the mods/creator here aware of most of the aimbots out there and the code they use? I have one that I know of that can be taken a look at to stop.

I hope i like VAC4... When its done :shock:

We had some cheaters of our servers (VAC enabled). VAC BAN, Sourcebans BAN (with SteamID), banned_user.cfg BAN: And still connect and play. :(
SteamID Not Validated and Sourcebans (Old Version) Saves a SQL String Error.
Only a special SM Plugin helps to kick this players.

Most Private Hacks laugh @ VAC (Kiddy Anticheat).

There will always be players and tools to circumvent the Anticheat security.
But, we have KAC, SMAC, rcon_lock, Sourcemod and Other SM-Plugins much to THANK to keep many Cheaters away!!! :bacon!:

Coming from a person who has been in the hacking scene years ago, SMAC is very good at what it does but it's not perfect. Most of the engine updates have really wired hacks in a specific direction where they're easily caught by simple checks and mechanics so It is getting better but no anti-cheat will ever be fully 100% perfect.
