Depends on what part of the world you are in. There are still plenty of servers alive, but the quality of players is just not there.

Note that Steam players only count STEAM CS1.6 players, the real number, including pirated clients is way higher.

Is 1.6 dead? Not by a longshot. I wish it wasn't plagued with retarded Fakeservers tho.

There are mo nosteam clients than steam clients I guarantee you
