If you have enought bandwidith why not ? give it a try linux gameserver configuration, you may learn something as well (in case you didn't know)

Or rent a VPS or from a GameHosting but tell to the hoster that you whant reHLDS as a game engine, before buying it.

Have you tried AWS? There relatively cheap when it comes to running a dedicated VPS on the fly. You can get a free one with 1 gig of ram and 1 3.5 ghz core just to play around with linux. I'd go for headless linux at the start if your the type of guy to start games on hardcore mode :D. Fair warning though VPS are a bit wonky with only 1 gig of ram. Though i wouldn't start a server on a VPS unless its a really good one.

performance is crap with 1 core and 1 gig but its a nice starting point to learn how to setup linux. You could also use vmware or virtualbox ( i like vmware more than virtualbox) to start a linux environment.

Check out neoserver dot ro . I'm using it myself,it's hosting alot of the high ranked servers on gametracker , it's offering max startup settings on high end machine and it's also having a top notch ddos protection.

I guess you will have to host it yourself, rent a vps and install what you need, that's what I used to do when I was running some servers.
