Engine error (ED_Alloc: no free edicts)

Hi,

I'm running in this problem when I use Store Equipments. I somehow postponed the error so it doesn't happen all the time by using this extention from Zephyrus. However this doesn't cut it, after 2 - 3 hours my server still crashes after a mapchange.

I now tried adding -num_edicts 4096 to my startup line, is this something that works? Can you push the engine to use that value? Don't think so actually.

Anyone care to explain?

Engine has hardcoded limit for edicts. You cant change that (AFAIK). Engine cant handle more than that and it will crash.
Happened to me when I had full 24slot server and a lot of plugins on some maps.

Yeah though so :(

Server ran 9 hours without a crash.

But it did crash now, here is a log

As you can see its on entity 2047, wich is weird cause the total is 1167/2048?

No he didn't, he linked to the version posted by Zephyrus in the old thread. He asked in the thread you linked it someone could build the Windows version of it.

Is that a different / better solution? If so i would love if someone compiled it for windows. I'll definitely pay for it
