Do you guys know any other server tool like HLSW? Right now the latest version of HLSW doesn't handle IP bans very well especially when you flag the IP.

I do that too. But some have access to cafe accounts.

Why not ban via rcon with the IP?

HLSW has never done well with IP bans if memory serves me right.

Well I do ban by rcon. But since I have several servers I prefer how HLSW handles SteamID bans wherein you can just add a ban by HLSW's own ban list and then transfer it to another server without a hitch.

It's just that when HLSW handles IP's it mistakes them for SteamID's...so when you go to your other server and choose 'Add all bans from database', you'll have Steam_3:3:512 or something like that on your ban list.

Yes I did but looks like their busy so I'm looking for an alternative right now. And it looks like most of them are just server browsers.

Doesn't work for me. Isn't that only for one server? I have more than 10.

C'mon.. I think we really need to revive this thread since hlsw is dead a last couple of.. Well.. Years!
Getting log doesn't work. It says it cant get my Internet IP address.. Sometime when i add it manually in console, like logaddress_add myip port, still doesn't work.
And even when it does, after a while using it, it just stops responding to any commands. I can type it in console or chat how many times i want, it just ignores it.
The software is clearly outdated and it desereves to be replaced. If anyone knows any good replacement software, it would be great.

Not for me :/ When i hit "Get Log (Internet)"
It says
"Can't dettect your Internet ip address."
And i can't receive server logs.
And as i said, when it does work, after a while he stops sending commands to server. I can hit "return" for 3646223 times, nothing is sent to server console.
And I'm not the only one having this problem :( Changing internet provider also doesn't work :D

People have been complaining about HLSW issues as of late on the Source Servers board, so I wouldn't just assume everything is fine.

It always works fine for me as well. As for the Internet log not working for people, a solution was posted for that too somewhere.

HLSW is dead where is a GOOD replacement!!!! HELP!!!!
Where can I find a good hlsw alternative that plays by the the rule of KISS (keep it simple stupid) I would pay for a good one but not one that takes hr's to install and configure and still don't F$#%en work!!! HELP!!!!

it's not dead, but buggy as hell. and yeah a huge update or some kind of alternatives needed.

for example if you log on to an HLDS server and switch to another application the console will not receive any commands till you restart HLSW.
it cannot handle rcon password if it's contains some UTF-8 characters. so you can't log in.
if you move some borders the application crashes.
sometimes it cannot download some logs or check maplist, banlist, etc.
and tons of similar little bugs. yea, it works if you can buy another display for it and just let it run without any touch.

btw the only alternative what i know is Obozrenie. but it have only Linux support which is sounds cool but the Python dependencies are more difficult than the installation guide says. it says it supports Ubuntu 15.04 and 15.10 but on my 15.04 it always failed cause some dependencies no matter how much Python packages/modules installed.
