2 things about the Board.

1) Why there is no Off-Topic in the SourceMod section?

2) Idea: there could be an option that allows users to add/remove the signature without a need to EDIT the whole post and without: Last edited by, while the original message stays untouched.

Because there is no Off-Topic in the AMX Mod X section either. ;) Take a look at the description under the board.

The issue is, as has been discussed in the past, that AlliedModders staff have much better things to do with their time than add obscure features that would rarely be used, to a forum software that they are slowly trying to move away from anyway.

Yes, my fault, didn't read the description:

...so what's the next step beyond this board?

SteamCommunity?

Agreed and SC forums are related to the games, and it's still not the same, as a regular board like this.

There's nothing obscure in my idea, it'd be clear and simple (like an EDIT button) or just disable 'Last edited by', when only sig option was changed during editing.

You already know it'd be rarely used, are You a diviner? Can you tell me how often the EDIT button is used by a regular users?

Still no answer here... What's the software they want to switch to?

No one has yet expressed a desire for such a feature, before you did. You'd also have to convince the staff that not only are such exceptions to the edit notification reasonable, but are also worth their time in implementing.

As has been discussed in the past, migration to XenForo is a planned event, but it's painfully cumbersome and time consuming for the core development team, each of whom already have demanding (paying) jobs in meatspace.

Here is asherkin's post regarding XenForo migration.

If you don't have access to that thread, you can gain access by making a contribution of >=$5 here.

Actually it's not an argument.

It's not my high fly when it comes to ideas, but without'em the world would be in a constant constance rather than constant motion (I want to be clearly understood - I don't say that the world's expansion is good for people - small off-topic :)).

I've never said it's a critical-fix. Sometimes such details may be added during implementation of other planned upgrades, but without an initial idea it will never happen.

Main question sounds: what for?

Relative one sounds: what's wrong with the board currently?

vB 3.x has been end-of-life for many years.
