Not sure what it is... but I follow the upgrade instructions and the versions update on Linux but on Windows they do not as in I upgraded 1 Windows server and its still showing 1.4.1 and yes I did download the windows files and not another.

bin, ext, transcripts and default plugins all updated and server restarted and yet still shows 1.4.1 - am I missing something here?

Did you completely stop the server first? Files cannot be overwritten while in use on Windows.

Any changes to the base plugins, or can I leave those be?

I have the new Update and will install as soon as Iam able, but being the noob of all noobs I'm terrified of it breaking all of these wonderful plugins that I have laboriously installed.

Thought it was strange having a Server crash a few days ago when it hadnt crashed for many many months previous to that. All Servers now updated to 1.4.2
