UPDATE I saw some people talking about the cl_dlmax thing today and it clicked.... in the past someone sent me the supposed source for the plugin but it was fake and didn't do anything. I just realized all it does is set a client side cvar as players connect. I made my own version of the plugin (it is really simple) and I added a server cvar you can change the value it sets the clients cl_dlmax too. The cvar is sv_cl_dlmax and I defaulted it to 80. PLEASE let me know if this plugin helps. Its compiled for all AMX versions supported. *************** I understand that with recent release of superhero some clients have been getting kicked with a SVC_BAD error. I need help in trying to figure out what causes this problem. Please post the error copied fomr your console when you get it AND provide as much information about the situation as you can. Start of Round? End of Round? Someone just got killed? Team? Also if you know how a clip from the server log right before it happens (when tons of people get disconnected). Please post it in a code block. Here is a sample of the error. Code:

On bomb defusal - Round end - First round
Note* on our server the xp is loaded at the end of round on the first round, this is so the first round is a forced pistol round, i normally get it on round start when it is not the pistol round. Code:

Alright my users arent giving me too much info, but from what I can tell it is a very random thing. I've tried a lot of ways to stop it but have been unable to so far.
The only similarities I can see are in the error, every error reported always ends in: CurWeapon CurWeapon svc_filetxferfailed with the numbers right before those always 4 numbers apart, example: 14274 0202 14274 0206 14274 0210 the server's svc_bad forum thread Clips from one full days worth of logs, 10 occurances 72 kicks: (ammount of players kicked above each log clip) http://www.pigbitch.net/svc_bad_logs.txt 2 clips, old logs, with sh debug set at 3: http://www.pigbitch.net/2_svc_bad_shdebug.txt and if you have access check the win32 hlds mail archives, check in october near the bottom middle... |
I seem to notice this happening more on some maps than others, paticularly maps with "doors" on them, IE Inferno, Wallmart and the like. wallmart is by far the most common canidate for this error, and i know it has *alot* of doors, this may just be co-incidence however.

I think i may have figured this out, Basically its an overload of Messages for differnt powers being sent, For instance Xaviers trail creation along with Punishers ammo check, Daredevils rings and any number of custom heros you have installed, it happens at start of rounds normally as this is when XP would be loaded and thefore it Executes all those commands all at the exact same time for every player that has those powers, Normally of course these powers would Activate at differnt times and at intervals (Xaviers trail creation and Daredevils ring creation rarely colide. and punisher would be activated when someone is shooting) However at round start All of these kick in at the exact same time, so the server gets flooded with info, cant cope and sends out "bad" info cause its under too much strain.
Solution: code heros to only start a few seconds after round start with a random timer (something as low as a random 1-3 second interval at round start would work) I've noticed that it is mostly players that have powers like daredevil and xavier together that normally suffer the most, however i have had occasions where everyone was kicked, normally when the server was full (20) or at least partially full, less common on slow days. that is a theory though, but i think it could be accurate, i ran a test by changing my current hero im working on to load up several times and to check players several times at round start (not xp load) even with just bots and me having the only powers the server still seemed to splutter and die. This is of course just a theory, but it makes sence to me, and it would seem that my limited tests support it EDIT: Alright, My Experiment isnt valid, the reson it crashed is cause i forgot to include a very important byte :P, However i still think the theory itself is accurate |
i got mine to go away i dont get it anly more i dis able some stuff for a few days and then i didnt get it nay more then i decided to renable the things and i didnt get it i can figur it out at all
