Problem: Slow upload of maps/sounds on server
 

Hey all,

Sup guys, My name is Aje & I'm new to this forum, but im impressed to be here. This forum seems to interest me very much, I got a nice server if you want to have some fun...

So my problem is i have loads of maps and sounds but when a player is downloading from me (because they dont have that map or sound) it is very slow. My server is uploading at like 5/6kbps. I have noticed it shows it takes 15mins to download "assault 1338" map. But gets "Timed Out" after like 2/3 mins.

My Net Speed is:
24 Mbps DownStream / 1.3 Mbps UpStream



Any help? Solutions?

Don't advertise your server, it is stupid.

Please search around first, this has been answered before.

Search for sv_downloadurl on Google or the Steam site

In this location:
C:\Counter-Strike\cstrike\server.cfg

I put this code in...
sv_downloadurl "http://87.194.23.232/Counter-Strike/cstrike"
sv_allowdownload 1
sv_allowupload 1

But it dont work? Any help?

Try this instead

sv_downloadurl "http://87.194.23.232/Counter-Strike/cstrike/"

I tried that before it didnt work... Then i removed the / it still dont work...
