Save stats by steam id.

// 0 - by name
// 1 - on authid
// 2 - on ip
//
// Value by default: 1
csstats_rank 1

authid what is that cause its not steam id.
When i check top players many of them has plenty of stats adn shown in different places cause it doesnt save by steam id.

Name bad solution cause.
Authid dont even know what it is but it doesnt sound like a unique id liek steam id is.
Ip adress are change so this isnt a good solution.

So how to save stats by steam id?

Re: Save stats by steam id.

AuthID is exactly the same as SteamID. It's merely more generalized vocabulary. "Auth" means "Authentication". With Steam games, the SteamID is used for Authentication.

Re: Save stats by steam id.

PM me the IP of the server and I'll see if I can see anything that might be causing it.

I don't see anything obvious wrong. Are you using the default stats plugin? Are you sure that the SteamID is supposed to show up there? Do any names have their SteamID with them? (I don't use any stats plugins so I don't know what the default stats list looks like)

Nothing wrong?
U see that in that image i posted names/users are saved twice if i run the server for a little longer it could save/show same names 10-100 times with different kills / deaths so there is something wrong.

If my nick is BOOP then in top 10 there should only be one BOOP (remember i want stats to be saved by steam id so i hope no one else is using BOOP as nick)

Re: Save stats by steam id.

In your SQL table, do the "column" storing steamID have the setting UNIQUE KEY? (KEY is not mandatory)
