[IDEA] Play snake game while loading into CS:GO Server
 

I don't know if this is possible but something like this could solve so many problems for most server owners because most players leave because they just don't want to wait in download queue.

What if they could play a snake game or some other minigame while files are downloading?


Let me know if this is possible somehow or any similar idea that could solve this issue.

I know but most players have ADHD and they need to get their serotonin shot every 10 seconds.
Most of them are not going to alt-tab, they want to play CSGO right away so something like this would be pretty good. But Im not sure its possible, I need someone with more knowledge.

All games (CS:S, CS:GO, TF2, etc.) would have to get something built-in to avoid the alt+tab'ing.

So unless the game developers are going to implement something, you're like out of luck with anything else besides alt+tab'ing.

That's what I thought.
The way It would work is, they can alt-tab if they want, snake game is not mandatory, its just something to keep your mind busy while files are getting downloaded.

This is loading screen, if dev of server chooses so, he can have snake game or something else instead of this dust map layout on the left.

Putting all the lag spiking you get when joining the server and determining ways to get client key input when loading in aside, I'm pretty sure that text is static(client side) and/or wouldn't be easily made into a snake game

Yeah I have to do this. Valve support said he forwarded the suggestion to dev team so they are aware of this.

Another nice solution would be to download files while they are playing on the server. By the time map changes they will have all the content. But this is not possible aswell I think with current system.
