[TF2] Bodyshot Punishment
 

Hey guys, this is a really simple plugin that can automatically punish snipers who are only going for bodyshots.

That doesn't mean that bodyshots are bad, I'm not trying change the gameplay or anything, the idea just popped into my head when dicking around with some fellow snipers on a private server and I thought it would be a fun thing to have.

It only counts bodyshots that actually kill and can be set to slay, slap or kick the offender. The admin can choose how many bodyshots are required to trigger the action, and whether or not headshots reset this counter. It can also play a sound file to all players upon punishment.

This is my first plugin and the first time I've programmed in sourcepawn, so feedback and tips are more than welcome!


CVars:
sm_bs_action (0/1, default: 0)
Action to perform against offenders: 0 = slay, 1 = slap (see sm_bs_slap_damage), 2 = kick

sm_bs_count (int, default: 1)
Trigger action after this many violations, 0 to disable plugin

sm_bs_reset (0/1, default: 0)
Whether or not the violation counter should be reset after each headshot

sm_bs_slap_damage (int, default: 50)
The damage to slap offenders with if sm_bs_action is set to 1

sm_bs_sound (0/1, default 1)
Whether or not to play a sound file to all players when somebody gets punished.

edit: Hmmm, description and version fields dont seem to work.

Greatest plug-in EVER! It has brought end-less hours of entertainment to our server. Thank you. There are a couple of features we would like to see added if possible.

• The addition of the Huntsman & Ambassador
• The option to count bodyshot kills as 0 points

These additions would take this plug-in from great to EPIC! Thanks again for such an awesome plug-in.

Dose it count the huntsmen as body shots? because that would be bad.

Get back to me on that and if hunts men doesn't count I'll be sure to use it on our orange/custom maps server

What I would like to see is that you can set a cvar to what it counts. Always sniper rifle, but also if the ambassador or the huntsman affects this.

Omg ! This is a very bad plugin. It changes Gameplay ! :down:
I play on majmar – The Push Little Cart Revolution! and i have been slay because I missed my shot. WTF ! It's ridiculous ! Punish the snipers, only ! WOW ! Good Job dude :up:

I removed this server of my favs.

LMAO! You don't seem to get the joke. You won't be missed *wink *wink Dude, if you can't get a headshot kill out of 3 shots you REALLY need to find a new class.

See what I mean? This is the best plug-in ever! It keeps whiny, I can't hit anything, sniper stackers off your server. It works better then class limits!

Now, if I can just get an option to count body shots as zero points. Mwahahahaha!

how about an option for a message to display in the snipers chat when this happens like, "you're terrible please change to a w+m1 class" or anything that could be configurable haha.

Can you modify this code to slay/kick/ban someone if they get a kill with an SMG?

I've got two Sniper Only servers that this would be great on. I'm already using a mod to cancel bodyshots, thus Headshot only.... although 1-2% of bodyshots get through...

Well anyway, SMG's are a bigger problem and we have to kick/ban people left and right for it. :(

EDIT: After reading up on this, I may try to create my own plug-in. Does not look that hard, just going to try and dive in and try. :P

I have had a couple players complain about this plugin. Personally, I like it. A skilled sniper should have no problem getting headshot kills. Not to say, I've been slain a couple times myself. Only problem I have is the sound not playing, but that's no problem. I gotta tell ya, this is a great plugin. Thanks for your hard work.
