This plugin adds a 'jetpack' which allows players to fly around the map by binding a key to +sm_jetpack.

Re: [PLUGIN] Jetpack
about time someone ported it to SM ;) good job.
|
Re: [PLUGIN] Jetpack
would it be possible to add a "spark"-effect to the jetpack and use the other plugin to attach things to players (forgot the name) to attach a jetpack model? :D
this would be lovely! |
Re: [PLUGIN] Jetpack
If you know a good model i can try to attach it :)
|
Re: [PLUGIN] Jetpack
the spark thing would be awesome and more important imho
|
Re: [PLUGIN] Jetpack
Thank you Knagg0. From now on, when I get questions/comments on the mms plugin I'm sending them here instead.

Re: Jetpack
ThANKX!!!!!!!! i love the jetpack got it running on my GunGame server!
I gots a question... I had L.Dukes Jetpack on my server and got used to the way it moved... Is there a way to get this Jetpack to move like the "old" one? And i think it would be cool with the "spark Idea" even if it isn't sparks :) Thx...The PFL Clan |

Re: Jetpack
The Jetpack update broke support for Garrys mod.
Code:

Re: Jetpack
Umm so i spent some time tonight recording my self playing in my server.... When back and looked at it and realized it was all sweet ass Jetpack footage!

Re: Jetpack
I have the same problem as GiGaBiTe but in Synergy mod..
Code:
L 09/20/2007 - 11:14:52: [SM] Debug mode is not enabled for "jetpack.smx" |
Re: Jetpack
Ok, I can't seem to turn it off or on depending the setting.
If it's enabled in the plugin.jetpack.cfg and I input "sm_jetpack 0 in the console all I get is a "unknown command sm_jetpack" . The same goes if it's disabled in the cfg and I'm trying t o turn it on. Any suggestions? btw, sm_jetpack_sound "weapons/rpg/rocket1.wav" is a cool alternative. :-) |
Re: Jetpack
You know what's really fun to use this mod with, rats maps.
|
Re: Jetpack
This is the most Loved plugin on my server... It always works PERFECT!!
Thank you. Techknow ps.. I recompiled it with defalt off so it turns off at every map change, and this is a great option on rat maps insted of changing the gravity. love useing it on rats_scoutzknivez. http://www.game-monitor.com/server-s....217:27015.png |
Re: Jetpack
Lmao, this works with TF2. Unfortunately I was the only one on my server since its 4:30am, but I am having a blast flying around shooting rockets with it. Its very jerky, and kind of hard to control. Is there anyway to maybe slow it down a little bit so you dont fly so fast? And maybe a way to levititate without dropping or going up?
|
Re: Jetpack
Okay, my question now is how hard would it be so that there was some kind of "fuel" for the jetpack in TF2? I think the worst part would be creating an official looking counter, kind of like the ammo counter except for the jetpack.
We had a lot of fun with it, but people never coming down kind of killed it after a while. If there was a way to make them run out of fuel for it (maybe the ammo boxes?), so that they only used it when they needed it, it would be awesome. |
Re: Jetpack

I have enhanced the jetpack to add:
Fuel, when the jetpack runs out of fuel, it stops. After a predetermined (and configurable) time it will be refueled. A Fuel Gauge to show how much fuel you have An AdminOnly flag to only give jetpack to admins. An Admin interface to allow Admins to give and take hetpack to/from other players. A Native Interface to allow other plugins to control the jetpacks. I also incorporated Grrrrr's Flaming Effects. |
Re: Jetpack
This should be cool! can't wait to Check it out!

Re: Jetpack
ok, i compiled and started my server. I started using jetpack and I cant seem to find anything new. so i changed sm_jetpack_fuel to 60 and still nothing happened. This doesnt seem to work.
also i also noticed your not including jetpack.inc . so when i included it then recompiled, i got a bunch of errors. Quote:

I have been asked how to compile my changed version of the jetpack.
So, I am includeing the source anf the .smx of the version I changed here. (I thought the Get Plugin link would work if I also uploaded the include files -- I was wrong  ) I have also fixed various bugs (such as the jetpack sound remaining on indefinately at times) I also added sounds for when the fuel runs out and when the jetpack gets refueled. Sorry for the long delay, I have been rather busy lately... |
Re: Jetpack

It defines the natives exported by jetpack.sp to be used by other plugins so it jetpack.inc would be included by another plugin that want's to access the natives defined by jetpack.sp. |
Re: Jetpack
I have the first version and it has always worked fine, now it seems like everytime its loaded after about 30 mins the server will crash. Does the newer one not crash?
|
Re: Jetpack
Naris,
I am using this plugin with Sourcemod's latest snapshot. It no longer works. Could you look at it and see if you can fix it? I get a compile error as well when compiling with Sourcemod 1.0.0: // jetpack.sp(22) : fatal error 120: cannot read from file: "topmessage" |
Re: Jetpack

Argh.
Here is EVERYTHING. EDIT: Naris, on Sourcemod 1.1.0 2050, the jatpack fuel meter only runs for 1.5 secs then the jetpack stops |
Re: Jetpack
Bump..
I'm looking for the proper config to be used with Naris's update. Also, the fuel meter does not show. I'm using the 1.0.0 release of sourcemod (Linux) |
Re: Jetpack
Bump. Using sourcemod 1.1.0... Maybe someone could revive this?
|
Re: Jetpack
Anyway to make this come on via a mapname.cfg ?
In dods the folder is dod/cfg, but if I set sm_jetpack 1 in a mapname.cfg... it does not change. I set sm_jetpack "0" in the plugin.jetpack.cfg file and I can enable it via HLSW while in a map... but not the mapname.cfg, other commands work ok but not this. What am I missing here? EDIT: Never mind, found it. I used the Map Configs Plugin and that works "sm_jetpack 0" in the plugin.jetpack.cfg and "sm_jetpack 1" in the mapname.cfg when in the correct folder works well. |
Re: Jetpack
After The Medic update the jetpack went dead. Still makes the sound like its working but jetpack has no lift? On TF2 servers anyway. Anyone working on a fix? or know one?
