You cant use it on normal servers then? If i make a normal definition then you cant join?

you can still join of 99.99% the servers. (0.001% not allow to use changed things) It's required steam if you want to download them, it's didn't helps if you download a addon for non-steam if you using steam, becaus you have than two different versions.

That is actually just custom skins, re textured wad's etc lol

yes mlk27 you have a bit right, but please look at the video you will see that it's all remake things and for the texture you can use r_detailtextures 0/1

i had valves mad old software that tweaks game performance and it did get an option to give hi resolution textures, but it didnt really look any different, since hi res 10 years ago is bad quality today
