MM:S doesnt work on Suse 9.1

Hi!

I downloaded the CSs Server with the HLDS Tool and installed Metamod:Source. I modified the gameinfo.txt and I created the directorys and files the mod needs. On my windows server the mod is running very well. But not on linux. Yes I remembered to use the linux file and not the windows dll. I think my glibc version is 2.3.3 and i dont know where i can get 2.3.4. Could that be the problem?

greets spliddy

no just make the gameinfo.txt a read only and you should be all set

Hi!

I set the gameinfo.txt to read only but it doesn't make a different. Does someone have an idea what i could do now?

http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Migrate_to_GCC_3.4

check that out to upgrade to GCC_3.4

Errrrm, not sure how a guide to upgrade gcc/glibc on Gentoo linux using Gentoo linux's portage tree will help a Suse9.1 user.

To keep your sanity it may be easier to just upgrade the distro to a later version containing the correct versions (or above).
If you're feeling brave you could start at http://gcc.gnu.org/, read the guides, errata, etc. And try your own compile.
Although a newer release of Suse/new distro will definitely help to keep you sane.

One : you are wrong. Suse is good for a number of reasons ( the main being it is simple to install and operate ).

and Two : whats the point of your post? because apart from making yourself sound like a tard there was nothing constructive :/

( im just flaming you coz i run suse :P )

Problems can also arise from a user not knowing everything there is to know about a given topic. Stop flaming.
