Which CPU is best for hosting CS:GO server?
I have dedicated server now with i9-9900k. Is it good option?

Ryzen TR 2950X or Ryzen 9 3900X > i9 9900K

Afaik that CPU you have can run at least 8 CS:GO servers easily.

i9 9900K is pretty much the best you can get
The most important part is the single-core performance.
If you want to host many servers you also need many cores so you will lose some performance with those high core count xeon/ryzen cpus.

Hi,

Im looking to rent either a VPS Linux. I want to host CSGO server.

I was wondering what I need to run a good CS GO server.

What kind of connection speed? What kind of CPU? How much RAM? Does it need to be a SSD drive?

That didn't make any sense. R9 3900X offers a higher number of cores, better price-to-performance than i9 9900K.

Those high core count cpus are usually slower when it comes to single core performance.
For just 6-8 servers the i9 will give you the best performance.
