Notes:
This plugin requires the downloader extension. (at least revision 6)

Changes:
Added sm_addplugin <pluginid> <pluginname>

At every map change, the plugin reads the config file (configs\autoupdate.cfg). Using the plugin ID and revision, it determines if there are any updates available. If there are, they are downloaded and will be updated for the next map change.

This all depends on the plugin author being willing to upload the compiled versions to my web site.. http://plugins.devicenull.org (Yes, it looks terrible).

Assuming the plugin you want is listed on the web site, it is trivial to install it: Copy down it's ID number, and use the following command via rcon: "sm_addplugin IDNUMBER NAME" where NAME is a short name you want for the plugin. The plugin will become active on the next map change, assuming everything works correctly.

Note to moderators: Do not approve this. This functionality is coming in a better way eventually.

so for us slower people it will allow the server to check if there is any updates to the plugins that they are running??

Veeery nice! I think this must be integrated in SourceMod by configuring this to update stable versions of installed extensions, plugins and SourceMod itself. Maybe someday we type "install cssdm" into console and install CSS: DM :)

This is nice aND should be mandatory to upload the plugin there once it gets aproved!

I've requested that a version of this becomes part of the core package where all approved plugins are automatically included in the downloadable list.
But of course this is much lower priority than some of the core stuff so you'll have to wait and see.
Go to bugs.alliedmods.net, select sourcemod and find my request (right near the end) and you can vote for it. Doubt it will make a difference but it's worth showing that people are interested in it.

There is a much larger project that will probably take this one's place...but we feel sourcebans proves higher priority.
