[CS:GO] MOTD and displaying web pages
Hello,
after I just noticed that the MOTD has been completely removed from CS:GO, I am wondering how I am supposed to display a website from the plugin. I was always doing it through the MOTD and now when it is away, nothing really works. Thanks in advance for your help and answers. |
Re: [CS:GO] MOTD and displaying web pages
They need to alt tab out of CS:GO and open your website.
If you find any other solution please respond to this thread. So put an advertisement or also https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1559577 Where when they type certain thing like !motd, motd or !website,!donation whatever... you just respond with the website link. |
Re: [CS:GO] MOTD and displaying web pages
They don't have to alt tab out. You can set a website and then have it show up on the scoreboard for people to open it in the steam overlay.
However, if you are wanting to be able to display several websites, then I agree that simple chat responses is a good solution. |
Re: [CS:GO] MOTD and displaying web pages
Well, I need to display a website with top players in a table with custom sorting or own profiles of players with ranking and such.
So the only possible thing now is probably printing this out into the console. But well, is there not really something to open the website as previously in the CS:GO window? Or in the Steam overlay? |

Or the second possible option is to utilize this thing:

Yes, that's true. But what if I want to change it while the match is running? I think it will not reload without changing the map. :p

So like rewriting the file and then "reloading" it by this command? I need a generated URL so I am wondering how to do it. :p
