What do you have sm_namechangeinfo_destination set to? Is it showing up in the chat fine? What game is this happening on? Have any error logs for me?

As a root admin, I can see the full info (with IP) on the name changer. I have the cvar set to 1 where it only prints to the console. What I'm trying to do here is to allow regular players to see the information as well but hide the IP.

You need to override sm_namechangeinfo_seeip to whatever flag you want to see the IP, while keeping sm_namechangeinfo public. Pretty much keeping everything at the default settings should achieve your goal here.

I have it set to this "sm_namechangeinfo_seeip" "z". There are currently no over rides for sm_namechangeinfo as well. Would that do the trick?

As you have it, root admins should see all the information, and all other users should see everything but the IP.

I finally got to use my own plugin in the wild today. Dumbass hacker somehow got around both SMAC and VAC, and repeatedly changed his name to minic others.

sm_ban @namechanger 0 "get the fuck out"

It is worth noting that plugins that rename players (such as Free2BeRenamed, SteamRep Checker, the stock sm_rename command, etc.) will also trigger the functions of this plugin. Please keep this in mind when using the targeting filters. You don't want to accidentally punish the wrong user.
