HLDS UDP Exploit
 

Hello,
Guys i saw on another a Russian forum that there is a private HLDS UDP Exploit that attacking all servers, Even steam only servers ... The problem that my server is under this attack too, And i don't know what to do, What the attacks do ? it makes server disappear from Favorites list, And no one can join it, after seconds it comes back then attacked again and again, And my server will be like crashed, I saw it down many times on GameTracker, Guys it's STEAM ONLY SERVERS problem too, What should we do now !? Really you didn't get attack !? You don't have servers ?? Members: 208,367, Active Members: 3,298, Most of them are server's owners, no !? Really i'm amazed how we didn't know about it yet i formatted my servers first and i removed metamod and amx then plugins 1 by 1 then then then and at the end it's Exploit for STEAM ONLY ... Please help.

If you've removed metamod and your server is upadated then it's a HLDS Exploit. Bug to Valve.

Then there is nothing you can do but keep trying to reach out to them. I've generally had success getting a response when I email Alfred directly

Also as I know, Dproto have many security fixes for HLDS. So, you can install it, disable No-Steam support in Dproto config (your server still legal and Steam-Only) and check it.

If you are talking about that, it's not an UDP exploit, nor an HLDS exploit :

- i have 6 server running on the same IP, some have people all the day, some are empty all the day.
servers who have people are touched, but some empty server are also touched.

- It's doesn't touche everyone, i have some friends who don't have that favorite display problem when many have it for the same server at the same time

- no steam client probably don't rely on the same base as steam to display server list.

It's rather a problem to the valve server who manage available server.
