[CSGO] What is the best way to detect if a server is frozen/crashed?

On Linux - what would be the best way to detect or check if your server has crashed or is frozen?

Did some research and found:

But not sure if this is the best solution.

Are you talking about checking it externally?
Anyway internally you can check the process or output and externally the query port.

i use self hosted nMon, an external server, website, service monitor. í get instantly mailed if a server or service is down.

Ahh ok, so basically I just need to monitor the process to tell if it crashed/froze.

Thank you.
