[Installer] Run Time Error 5
 

There have been a few people reporting they get runtime error 5 when trying to use the installer. If your one of them, get this file, install it, reboot, try again. If you still get the error, reply here with the following information:

What OS are you running?
Service pack? (Start->Run type "winver", its at the end of the second line)
Where are you getting this error?
How did you try to install? (Local, ftp, etc)
Anything else you think is helpful?

If you have a copy of Visual Basic 5 or 6 (Not .net, not the express beta), and you want to try and help, grab the installer files from here and run them using the VB IDE. Hopefully this will give you what line its causing an error on. Then post which line(s) in which file is causing it.

Please don't post anything other then what I asked here, it will be deleted

What OS are you running? Windows Server 2003 Enterprise
Service pack? (Start->Run type "winver", its at the end of the second line) Version 5.2 (Build 3791.srv03_gdr.040410-1234)
Where are you getting this error? installed amxmodx-full-1.0.exe sucessfully, run shortcut to install amxx, click ok at welcome dialog, next screen is the error
How did you try to install? (Local, ftp, etc) Did not get this far. Runtime error "5" occurs before this screen
Anything else you think is helpful? I installed both the Msvbvm50.exe and Msvbvm60.exe runtime files. also java2 1.4.2_06. (yes restarted after each install)

install and before i restart my computer
i tried the installer again
and this time,it WORKED,oh it's the best present for christmas
and ANYONE WHO HAS THE SAME PROBLME MAY TRY WHAT DEVICENULL SAID

i successfully installed the installer and then go to run it
after the welcome msg shown up,it told me"Runtime error 5"

error when I try to run the program, i get wlcome screen than I get error.

Anything else you think is helpful? I installed the Msvbvm50.exe file and restarted... didnt work.

Yes i have tryed to install the file from microsoft.. didn't work
