(CS 1.6) Zombie Plague server in other country
 
I saw a lot of server go with the "Camp to win" style with a lot of strong weapon and extra item on Human side like Special Weapon, Unlimited Ammo, Laser Mine, Sandbag, Super high damage and knockback weapon.

Meanwhile, Zombie just have either a lot of HP or some really basic ability like "Speed Boost" and sometime use "Kill Bomb" or "Infect Grenade" to infect a lot of Human but that like really late into the game.

People usually rather use AP on guns rather than Zombie stuff because it is not worth it.

It feel devastated to become Zombie and many rather Alt+Tab or AFK until the round end


I personally like more balance and progressive like you earn $ to unlock a weapon permanent, use that weapon to gain more money to buy better weapon

Extra Item can use to buy with AP. Zombie unlock via round which each class later on have more threatening ability like hook or dash.

I really want to hear opinion on this one from player other country,
What do you guy think make a great ZP server?

There are only four servers in Japan (two hosts, one of which is mine) and no ZP server....

I planned to open one but CS 1.6 is not a thing in JP so I went to other country community to help and open the server.

zombie servers turned into a major cash grab hence human teams were really overpowered especially for vips like giving them access to weapons from CSO

Indeed, I miss classic servers or skill-based ones to be more accurate.

I am not against porting CSO weapon (heck, I am doing it right now) but it about the number. If the admin want, they just push something like instant kill AoE 10 kill/shot stuff. or a normal ak but can 1 shot everyone and get +2 AP or some shit like that.

I don't know really.. I find the classic server having Zombie can only just push each other in a hole and then got kill by 3 people holding an Auto-sniper is "fun".
And if skill based, it have to be in the classic map (cs_italy, de_dust2, de_dust...) or de map in general but people usual turn around because of that

I liked the servers back then when it was very dark, zombies were slow and humans were ... not very good at playing the game. Is it possible that we ruined the game by becoming good at it?

I have been having a server idea.

Zombies are slow but can run for limited time.
Bullets spawn all over the map, reason to go explore.
its dark so zombies can sneak up on you if you're not careful.
To zombies, humans are invisible if they do not move or make a sound (fire). Once moved or sound made, they stay visible for 10s and slowly fade back. Humans are always visible for humans.

I had another idea about auto balancing the server based on what team is winning.
Either boosting zombies abilities, making bullets more rare or common and such.
Making it a bit more interesting by doing this in laggy way. It will take time for server to adjust and bring up the worst.

Anyways, I am a coder myself but I can't find no time to make something like that happen.
Tho It doesn't sound like a lot of work with careful planning, even if I get myself going, I quickly lose motivation.

If someone wants to team up, let me know.
Its been almost 10 years since I've been coding pawn but surprisingly I still remember most of everything.
I also took a look at ZP5.0, its very nicely organized and can make a good base for a new type of zombie mod.
Its as if everything is already there, just got a put together the pieces.

You cant keep up with modded servers where is "young people" playing thats why lot of stuff there laser/jetpack etc. Thats what people want and not a "boring" simple server.
Myself i love the simple zombi server but not everyone like me.
