FastDL Manager - Preview
 

Hey guys,
Just want some feedback on my new upcoming FastDL Manager.

It will consist of a server plugin for SourceMod and a PHP script you will need to install on the hosting server that you have your fastdl files on.

Description:
The server plugin will connect to your FDLM (FastDL Manager) database and insert a bunch of info about your users - whether they download anything or not - the ones that DO download things will also be listed. The tracking is by SteamID.. and you will need to set sm_downloadurl instead of sv_downloadurl. The manager will include an MOTD editor as well!

Features:

• Free for personal use
• Setup wizard will be included
• Statistics about what file is downloaded most often, biggest files, etc.
• Ability to block users from downloading your files
• Ability to restrict fastdl access to only certain servers (to keep people from stealing your bandwidth)
• Includes an MOTD editor
• FTP Sync - Allows you to sync your fastdl server with your gameserver automatically! No more uploading files twice

Wow! This looks really impressive.

I'm not sure I can get remote connects to our webhost from our gameserver but I hope I can as this looks awesome :)

What do you mean remote connects? You're referring to SQL?

Yeah.
Not sure if my main webhost will allow a remote connection to SQL.

That said, I have a couple of webhosts so I'm hopeful I can get one of them to work ... :)

Here is a nice feature:
If the .bz2 does not exist and PHP has the bz2 library, the program attempts to create it.

To check:
If it has cpanel, go to the mysql section and scroll all the way down.. you should see a section to add custom hosts..

Thanks for the tip Kaos. I'll be getting a spiffy new server for my webhosting soon so I'm confident I'll get this running.

seems great.
one question though, so this is going to be a sourcemod plugin? not a mm:s ?
