[Any] Set Game Server Account (v1.1.1, 03-28-14)

Description: This plugin exposes a login method for game servers and games which do not expose a native login method. Logging into a game server account allows for favorites list migration. You can change your IP and the client's favorites list will automatically update. This plugin is not needed in games which the cvar is already exposed (it will error if the command exists). As of writing, that includes TF2, CSS, HL2MP, and DODS.

Installation:

• 1. Install the SteamWorks Extension by KyleS. (Please make sure the extension is loaded before asking me for support.)
• 2. Place the file: setsteamaccount.smx file into the plugins folder.
• 3. Place the file: gameserveraccount_token.txt into the configs folder and put your token in.
• The zip file contains the source, compiled, and blank txt file for the token. You should be able to drop it into the game root and get it working.

Could you provide more information on this? I've read about the persistent game server account but I am still confused slightly on this topic as there isn't much information available.

Pretty much this, but this plugin exposes it to more games then TF2. Any game where the extension works.

Released an update, important note:
The token file has moved from /data to /configs to be inline with "standards".

But it only works with newly created favorites?
My old favorites are not updated and the server will disappears under the new ip.

Steam will sync steam IDs with old favorite entries. It takes a lot of time. You should give it 5-6 days on the OLD server, logged in to sync.

Important notice
No longer required on CSS, DODS, and HL2MP.

So how do I make use of this tool? Do I upload the plugin on the old server with the token and then load it on the new server while removing it from the old one?

Is this work on windows? because I get Logging into a anonymous server account [XXXX] but no Logging into a steam server account [XXXX]
