REHLDS 3.4.0.651-dev sys_ticrate issues

Hi guys - I'm using REHLDS 3.4.0.651-dev and have found that it ignores my sys_ticrate setting of 500. I can see this by checking 'stats' in rcon and the server never goes above 100 FPS. Generally peaks around 75 FPS and back down to 30 etc.

Checking sys_ticrate value in rcon shows it's set to 500. On the official HLDS build I was easily able to achieve 500 FPS.

Any idea's what is going on here?

The server is running on 2016 Server with 4GB RAM and 2 vCPU's (3Ghz)

Many thanks

Same here. Mine is ranging from 30 - 75 FPS in-game with "stats" command. Hardly doubt your sys_ticrate "500" has anything to do with the actual server FPS, because if you are trying to force it on a weak set of hardware, server will go unstable. What you got with the old HLDS is most likely an unstable 500 FPS, meanwhile reHLDS seems to have brought it down to a much more believable and stable FPS with your hardware.

My server specs: Vultr $2.5/mo plan, 1 Core, 512MB RAM, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

UPDATE: I was wrong. You should type 'stats' command in the server console, not in the game console. There you will see the correct server FPS that you force using sys_ticrate. Mine is ranging from 500 - 800 FPS when 1 player is online with sys_ticrate "1000" in a Google Cloud f1-micro instance.

It is rather a bug than a hardware failure. Any hardware that can run 2016 server can run over 100 fps on HLDS. I would file a bug with reHLDS team.

I was also getting around 70 fps in 2012 Server but tried the solutions given by people when I had posted on ReHLDS GitHub.

It's fun to see posts complaining about reHLDS when forum's description says:
"Running HLDS servers"

- They should change it.

I've posted to github with the issue. If this is by design, fair enough. Just seems odd considering the official HLDS build was giving me 500 FPS.

I'm not looking to run metamod - rather keep my server vanilla if I can, so the resolution timer fix isn't applicable unfortunately.

You can use the C program by WPMGPRoSToTeMa or use the srcds booster.exe file ( i don't remember the exact name ) which does the same job
