AntiSpeedhack questions

First of all, I am sorry that I did not found the speed hack mod topic, so I decided to post a new one here...

According to log:
Code:

L 01/15/2013 - 18:16:19: [smac_speedhack.smx] GutsAndGlory! (ID: BOT | IP: 127.0.0.1) is suspected of using speedhack.
L 01/15/2013 - 18:17:14: [smac_speedhack.smx] GutsAndGlory! (ID: BOT | IP: 127.0.0.1) is suspected of using speedhack.

BOTs are not ignored? I am using original bot from TF2, and no other bot plugin installed, somehow one of the bots got suspected... thats weird... All other bots were fine... Should the plugin ignore the bots instead?

Question 2
Code:

Is it possible to limit the same log so my log file will not be overwhelmed? Maybe only show up once for each new connection? Or maybe when the target player disconnected from the server, print a total count of detection on the log instead.

Yes it should ignore bots. The reason only one bot was detected is because a previous speedhacker left the server, and that data was carried over to the bot that replaced them.

Yea we'll think of something. Right now it only logs once every 30 seconds, but I suppose if that player stays on your server then the log will fill up quickly.

These should both be fixed in the next release, thanks.

Could you explain this (from errors log)?
All plugins last version.
Code:

L 01/17/2013 - 12:18:16: [SM] Native "GetClientAvgLatency" reported: Client 8 is a bot
L 01/17/2013 - 12:18:16: [SM] Displaying call stack trace for plugin "smac.smx":
L 01/17/2013 - 12:18:16: [SM]  [0]  Line 280, smac.sp::Native_LogAction()
L 01/17/2013 - 12:18:16: [SM] Native "SMAC_LogAction" reported: Error encountered while processing a dynamic native
L 01/17/2013 - 12:18:16: [SM] Displaying call stack trace for plugin "smac_speedhack.smx":
L 01/17/2013 - 12:18:16: [SM]  [0]  Line 83, smac_speedhack.sp::Timer_AddTicks()

Re: AntiSpeedhack questions

You have verbose logging enabled. A bot does not have latency, so it errored.

These issues should be fixed in the next release.

Re: AntiSpeedhack questions

I've noticed since these updates I've been getting more warnings popping up about players, should I assume this is SMAC working or SMAC not working?

I know it's hard to tell without observing, but if anti-speedhack works there shouldn't be anything to observe anyway. Can the plugin be unloaded with instant effect to catch potential speedhackers?

That should work assuming they hadn't toggled off by then.

Excellent, worth a shot then I'd say! Thanks for the clarification.

The last antispeedhack do too many false detections. Too many lagger detected like speedhacker.

I'll look into a way to filter laggers from notifications. There's really no way to avoid them entirely though.

They aren't exactly false detections, as the message says that a player is suspected of speedhacking. It's known that severely lagging clients can trigger this message, and it's why the module doesn't take any action on its own.

The message is there to help, but if it's considered the opposite then it can be removed in a future update.
