I'm looking into this now.

[edit] Unfortunately, I can't see any reason why the plugin would act like that unless the two users were identical. Could you run this version of the plugin, which has more verbose logging to the addons/sourcemod/logs files? When you see the problem creep up again, please attach the contents of the day's SM logfile.

I Have your plug in installed correctly and also used the second page smx. I too Im having issues with the pluggin auto muting people as they join that have not been admin muted or committed any mic spamming operations. Here is a list of some of todays log files as the log was to big to attach and also noted I just got it installed correctly about 12 hours ago with the correct snapshot. Thx Iggy

Only two people have been admin muted since installion I want to say in todays logs which are huge Ive found about 4 people that get the auto 1 for mute and silence This copy log is a map change

the ninga guy was one that was auto muted if you unpermamute him he gets muterd again next round?

This has been working quit well for me. The only recommendation I have is that you may want to add instructions for people who aren't familiar with mysql/sqlite databases for getting this working. I wanted to do this with the SQLite database and it took me a while to figure out how to initialize it properly.

iggythepop, I'm sorry for the delay in responding. I'm having trouble duplicating the problem you're experiencing. One more question - do you know if the players were pmuted through the admin menu or through the command?

Only pmuted through the admin menu not the sm_chat admin chat. Ive used both versions of the smx. On the log version it would randomly mute players joining with no spam offenses. On the first version smx on page one I would mute someone and they could come back and talk after they left and came back just as reg mute works. Ive also noticed that if I ban someone for a week they could come back after a day. I must be set up wrong for some reasons on my end perhaps for thoughs files to remember that the server has them either pmuted or time banned.

Im starting to understand Source mod some what better and also getting good at reinstalls and updating snapshots. Right now Im using the most current snapshot off 1.0.3 running the 1.1 snapshot source mod 1.1.0 r 2282 which shows in console as 1.1.0 svn.

Im not really in a hurry on this matter truth be told I hate playing admin but its my server and there are some real idiots that play sometime. Im not a power freak I just want a smooth queit fun game. Any help would be great I really hate to ban people Id rather have a full server with pmuted idiots. And by saying that I mean I really give people all the chances in the world before I take admin actions. If you need any info from me let me know or click on my Game monitor picture and you can check my server variables from there. I finnally have a stable version of sm on no crashes in over 24 hours Im a happy man. Thx Again Iggy


Edit: I have 3 admin functions in the disabled smx plugins folder admin-sql-prefetch.smx,admin-sql-threaded.smx,sql-admin-manager.smx Do I perhaps have to enable these? Im that new to sm Just wondering?

Edit2: Im trying the plugin again today 7/5/08 with this version SourceMod log file session started (file "L20080705.log") Version "1.1.0.2358 > Ill watch the logs and let ya know its stable and no errors.

Would it be possible to add a 'perm' mute length? Like 5 mins, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week and permanent?

I think it would be useful, since people I've perm muted have wised up and want to use mic I have to go unmuting them.

Also, could a mysql database be used? So mutes are applied accross all servers?

There seems to be a bug with this plugin on DODS. When a player who has been perm muted joins the server they are muted automatically, but on round end/map change they are not muted again and are free to use mic.

Any thoughts on my ideas on previous post too?
