[HELP] HLDSUpdateTool does not work with cstrike 1.6
 
Hello.

I have encountered this problem today. When running the HLDSUpdateTool.exe with the following command parameters:
Code:
-command update -game cstrike -dir .
it just returns me a list of supported games and closes. I cannot find Cstrike anywhere in that list.
Does anybody have any ideas? I really need to get my server back up..

EDIT: I have tried switching to SteamCMD, but I keep getting this annoying error when running it:

Connecting anonymously to Steam Public...Login Failure: No Connection
Failed.
I am running this on a Linux Ubuntu machine. I have tried the fix from Steam`s wiki to add the ip tables rules, but it does not work. I have tried logging in with my Steam account as well without any success.

Please help me.. this is giving me headaches.

steamcmd is a must now. HLDSUPDATETOOL IS DEAD

I saw the title, the title says HLDSUPDATETOOL..

try logging in by your username + Password.

What your problem? USe a steamcmd to work with any hl game. not hlupdatetoll.

its not a problem
everyone knows that Hldsupdatetool no more working while the steamcmd instead.

the problem is that you should read the thread before you answer or postreply brother.

Back on topic after all that...

OP: It could be the Steam servers were temporarily down. Try reconnecting and see if you still get the error.

Could you all please read the thread before replying? I tried switching to SteamCMD, but whatever I try, it keeps dying with the above error. I am 100% sure I am connected to the internet as I am running more servers from my machine (not steam stuff).

I have enabled all ports (disabled IP-tables) and tried again, with no luck though. Tried everything possible without any result.

The error I get is:

Login Failure: No Connection
Failed.
EDIT TO POST ABOVE: I have been getting this error for the past month.. I don't think Steam servers were down for that long. :|

EDIT2: I tried registering for a new account. Still the same thing.

The 'invalid password' thing is new, but I am 10000% sure I have entered the correct password. Tried again, same result.
