I can't use Wiki. First ir required registration, well i'v did it. Then when i tryed to go to the same page i got this message http://i4.minus.com/ibnphYZvdnTQGR.png

So where do i find guide how to install hlxce on linux?

The install instructions are on the wiki and are complete, if you are having problems please post more info so i can help you in a new thread in this sub forum NOT in this thread tho.

No, I have had no time to work on the HLX:CE project over the last 2 weeks, and i am just going to push to the next release but that will not be out for at least another month due to my schooling and up coming certs i have to take next week.

Tho after i am done with that i should be able to get the 1.7 release with in a week....If nothing else gets in the way.

Why not rewrite the daemon in PHP instead of Python (or Perl)? E.g. The newest version of cPanel is not shipped with perl anymore nor with python. Therefore a lot of web hosts, specially those related to the gaming industry, might not offer perl or python. Thus more users would be able to run HLX if the daemon was written in PHP I suppose.

Just because cPanel does not require it any more does not mean it is not installed, almost all current Linux installs (IE most webhost) have python 2.6 branch on there by default and unless the webhost rely knows what they are doing it will not be removed due to system processes requiring it.

On top of that it is alot of work to rewrite and maintain this project.......and seance I have already spent so much of my time doing this in python I am going to stay with it....and yes I do know that yall have not see me upload anything to the repos but that is because I have a private clone that I use for dev.

In the current version one has to add IP:s at many places, instead of adding just a domainname, such as www.google.com... Since my servers might sometimes change IP if they get disconnected from the net, it would be nice to use domains instead...

Are you sure, that you need to use IP's instead of Domainnames? Because I think both are possible.

I have no news on the repo; I am waiting because if I have to make a new one then we will loose the changes up until now, I do how ever have a copy of the bug list.

As for dns support I have never had a problem with using my dns names so I do not know why you can't or why I can...

I hope they don't have to resort to something crazy like ... keeping the repo's private - and making the official release files (including updated source-code) distributed via "torrent" or something.

I am working on recreating the repo, I have updated the links on the first post so Rytis no longer has to use his servers to host the project.

The wiki and bug tracker are still down...I will be working on these as I get more free time. The install instructions are at the top of my list to get back up.

HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Rytis for not only hosting the download but keeping the community up to date.

I have not be able to put as much time into the project as I would like to but know that the changes will be worth it.

You should add in the Wiki that it requires the two PERL modules DBI and DBD.

I spent awhile trying to figure out why everything wasn't working, most likely my fault cause the logs where on the far right of my terminal. Hiding away.

Just a suggestion. Great work though updating it.
