How Can/Should I Prevent My Game From Slowhack By Servers?
 

Hi Fellas..

I want to know if there is anyway I can prevent servers from editing my game files, like config.cfg, userconfig.cfg etc. etc. I have tried to set them to Read-Only but it seems that the server(s) just deletes the file and creates a new one binding different keys to different functions, changing Player name, autoconnect to servers etc. etc.

Can Please someone tell me how to protect my game, game-files in order to avoid these types of modifications.Remember I have tried setting all .cfg and .res files to Read-Only but that doesn't work.Now I cannot obviously re-install the whole freaking game everytime I join a server.

Any type of help will definitely be appreciated. :wink:

I type that in my console or where? And will this command protect me from everything?

cl_filterstuffcmd is 1 by default

The obvious solution is to buy the game. After the last update the steam client is pretty secure.

Oh, sorry for violating the rule and as far as the problem is concerned, I could've purchased the game if I could afford it...
