Latest Metamod doesn't work on listen servers?
 

I've been trying to setup Sourcemod and Metamod for some users and myself for Left 4 Dead 2, and I noticed that it was not working using the latest Sourcemod 1.5.0 and Metamod 1.10.0 on a listen server, on my dedicated server it works fine.

Using Sourcemod 1.5.0 with Metamod 1.9.2 works fine on listen servers, did the new Metamod version drop support for listen servers?

AFAIK Valve dropped plugin support on secure (VAC enabled) servers, so you need to add an -insecure switch to the command line for your listen server.

Thanks for the reply, but I already have it mate.

Like I said Sourcmod 1.5.0 and Metamod 1.9.2 works fine on my listen server, but using Metamod 1.10.0 won't load Sourcemod or Metamod on my listen server at all even with -insecure parameter.

We don't test against listen servers as there are so many issues, but everything should work fine. Are you using a manually-generated metamod.vdf with 1.10 rather than the one it ships with?

Yes, but I also tried using the one included in Metamod 1.10.0, none of them worked.

What error message do you get? If none, do a manual load with "plugin_load <the path in the VDF file>".

I don't get an error message, after I install Sourcemod and Metamod, I type meta in the console and it says unknown command, after I host a server I write sm and it also says unknown command.

I will try that command and let you know.

Ok, I tried the command on both of the directories in the two vdf files, before and after host and it still didn't work.

This is what it showed in the console :-

Loading unsigned module addons\metamod\bin\server
Access to secure servers is disabled.
No valid signature found for addons\metamod\bin\server
Failed to load plugin "addons/metamod/bin/server"
Unable to load plugin "addons/metamod/bin/server"

With the difference of the directory in the other vdf file.

Looks like your server is still secure.
