Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world drown in vomit.



This Plugin fixes some highly unrealistic oversights in the L4D2 engine, adding chaos and hilarity.


  • Survivors throw a Bile Jar on their own feet? THEY GET BILED.

  • Tank gets blasted by Boomer explosion? HE GETS BILED.
  • Same, other SI? THEY ALL GET BILED.
  • And the Witch? GETS BILED.
  • Infected within range? BILE EM ALL.


Bile is executed via native SDK Calls and therefore fully functional. Note there is _NO_ 'bile cloud' like from a jar when a boomer dies, so once the Infected are done killing each other they'll immediatly hunt the Survivors again.



Requirements:

Current SM and MM:S Snapshots
Current SDKHooks
And dont forget to put the l4d2addresses.txt in your gamedata folder



Convars:

l4d2_bile_the_world_version
l4d2_bile_the_world_radius (default 200) - Radius of Bile Splash on Boomer Death and Vomit Jar
l4d2_bile_the_world_enabled (default 1) - toggle on/off


l4d2_bile_the_world_expl_pwr(default 150) - How much Force is applied to the flung Explosion victims
l4d2_bile_the_world_flingenabled (default 0) - toggle fling on/off
Flung Survivors are not biled, by the way.


Version History:

1.0.0 - Release
1.0.1 - Survivors now get checked for being close to VomitJars before being biled ... spoilsports. Also dead Infected are now safe.
1.0.2 - now uses raytraces to check for walls inbetween, default range decreased
1.0.3 - fixes
1.0.4 - fixed error log for custom server stuff
1.0.5 - fixed another entity property error
1.0.6 - checking for all entity propery fields now
1.0.7 - added cvar for flinging survivors by boomer explosions (default off)
*Jan 28th, 2017 update* fixed l4d2adresses Fling signature for windows

strange survivor thrown now a bile jar and all around him got biled , and infected ghost's too -.-

There is a pretty big glitch with this plugin. When a survivor throws a bile bomb, all survivors are biled. This happens no matter how far away the bile bomb is, be it 2 feet from the survivors or across a map. It doesn't seem to restrict the bile effect to only those caught in the ConVar radius.

follow bugs:

1. survivor throw a bile and all are blind and voomit, care of distance.
2. when boomer explode he puke himself and he are pink. horde spawn after that

2. And that is bad why. He just splashed 15 litres of bile all over the place. Im adding a death check anyway.

Question. If the Boomer explodes and biles Infected, does it still summon a horde like a Bile Bomb?

Whenever a Boomer dies, it can bile others through walls.

As far i can tell no. Special Infected might be a different case.

Added Raytracing to check for a Wall between the Vomitsplash and anything.
Also decreased default range to 200 (was 250).

This Plugin doesnt mess with Hordes themselves. I just played a Finale and there were hordes.

do you think its a good plugin for a comp server
respectively a difference? plugin have advantages and disadvantages

can it be, that more zombies spawn when the plugin is on the server?

could always trigger a panic event if one doesn't start (no survivors biled).

I don't have that sort of problem, I guess you must it set way to large.

I don't see a problem with players getting smoker cloud damage when they in a stairwell or in a open or close area with no proper walls blocking anything.

Through if players are getting smoker cloud damage on a floor below a smoker cloud when it's on a floor above, then that be a good fix. :)

i dunno about l4d2 because i havent used the cloud plugin in it yet, besides the fact that there arent many multi-floor areas with ~10ft heights per floor. but in l4d1, for example, smoker cloud would affect people on the opposite floor in the rescue cabin on death toll all the time and i use a smaller then default radius.

i have a question, is the bug fixed with multiple horde?
when i voomit the survivor in l4d2 the horde spawn, i jump in with the boomer and they shoot me, but no horde spawn not anymore.
when i have used this tactic since days in l4d1, more horde come.

You have to wait until their bile wore off (theyre not pink anymore) or explode on someone who wasnt biled before to get additional zombies.

This was an awesome plugin :D
what i try to do is make my l4d2 servers as realistic as possible, and this 1 was just what i've been looking 4.
if i may, do u mind if i make a request 4 u to make another plugin? since u create plugins that make the game more realistic :P
what im looking for is a plugin that allow friendly fire from bots. i find that the bots shooting right through u to kill and infected is somewhat stupid, but what makes it even worse is that u dont get hurt by it. i think if valve made it so that u "flinch" when they shoot u, i think they should have made it so that it harms u to. i remember that there was a console command for it, but u must have cheats on in order for it to work. it would be awesome if u fulfilled my request, because i believe that we have a common interest in making l4d2 as realistic as possible :)

Signatures all still work. The only reason this doesnt work on your server would be ... your server.
