Problem with FastDL-Tf2
 

Ive been having a problem with FastDl with my Tf2 Server.
This is the actual link to download the map

I heard you're post to shorten it to https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/275509828/tf/maps/

this is what it says when I can't download it : Missing map maps/trade_magic.bsp, disconnecting

I tried that but it didnt work, It keeps saying missing maps

if someone out there could help me I would appreciate it!
Also if you suggest another webhost I do not want to pay anything to use it:down:

and just to say I use NFOServers for the Server

The map needs to be compressed to .bzp2 format when it is on the FastDL. I believe you can use the 7zip tool for that. Also, you will find Dropbox will quickly restrict your account if you're getting too many downloads (unless you have no limits).

I don't know how Dropbox works or if it will work for FastDL due to the way their link system works. I.E I get an error 404 message when trying to navigate the 2nd link. Try bzipping first, if that doesn't work you might need to consider a better host, one that is built for serving files this way.

Bzp2? Never heard of it. Do you mean Bz2? Also Can I use Winwar?

Edit: I don't think Winrar can, but I have never tried. We have it automated on our dedi.

Also with dropbox Should I make a Folder like this tf/maps/"the Bz2 File" ???

It needs to reflect the path of your gameserver.

tf/maps/yourmap.bz2

Same with any custom folders

tf/models/custom/mrbean/mrbean.bz2

etc etc

Hey its me. I did the thing and it still says Missing maps. Any other suggestions?
