Pretty much what vertexshader said is correct, no matter how a community is constructed the players will always harrass you once you let them know that you're a female. If you use a microphone or the such, easiest thing to do would be find a mature community run by adults that will at least stick up for ya.

We have several girls/women in our gaming community and no one on the servers really give them shit.

Its all maps from the game 007 Goldeneye from the N64 and between members and regulars, we have 5 to 7 girls/women that play. :)

it would never work b/c sometimes a guy just acts like a girl. we have a few girls on our servers but one time I remember one was actually a guy just fucking around with people.

lol I have a voice changed that sounds like a girl, its very easy to do. Anyways you didnt say what game. We have rules on our server against sexist players.
