Bind Number Slots
Version 1.1 - Last modified on 26th July, 2007. This plug-in no longer works since the SteamPipe update for Half-Life due to the "bind" command being blocked from servers. See this post for more details. This small plug-in simply allows users to bind the correct commands to their numbers (eg, number 4 binded to slot4). This ensures they can use all menu options available. The player will get confirmation before executing the bind commands. There is no confirmation for binding slot 1 and 2, as they are required for the player to accept/deny. Administrators can also bind slots for players, confirmation still required. Commands say bindslots (ADMIN_ALL) Binds slots on whoever uses this. say /bindslots (ADMIN_ALL) Binds slots on whoever uses this. amx_bindslots <target> (ADMIN_ADMIN) Binds slots for the target. I only wrote it for my servers. Didn't think of putting anything I wrote here until someone suggested this plugin. |

Like I posted elsewhere, if the client is fully informed of the change, and ACCEPTS the change, the consequences are his/hers to bear.
Likewise, if a player can't use some menu's because his/her slots aren't bound, and asks for help from an admin to fix it, it's only natural that admin would use a plugin like this, it fixes the menu's. Also naturally, if you want an admin fixing something for you concerning something like this, you'll have to assume it concerns binds that you might not know of - still the admin will have to inform the player beforehand what actually will happen. And if this feature is advertised as HUD message, then I don't see why it couldn't be used. This should be Approved IMHO >.> EDIT: I saw this, or a plugin that does the same (really don't know) on 3 Sven Co-op servers, and all the players seemed to be content with this, since in SC a number of slots aren't used by default cos most weapons get stacked in earlier slots, but menu's such as rockthevote DO use later slots/numbers, so using the command bindslots let them make use of that also. |

Yes, I use it on all my servers.
I will add a confirmation menu (yes/no) in a future release. BlackMilk, were those 3 servers from Multiplay UK? I run those which would explain the presence of the plugin. |

It does not work. It's pretty clear you don't know what you're doing. Your use of set_task() is incorrect - but more importantly, why are you using it at all?
