Yeah, googling is hard. Took me ~30 seconds to find that when I searched with: "-zone" +cs1.6 +"command line" Both answers are in there, and a few other things. |

-heapsize specifies size, in kilobytes, of internal HLDS heap that used for storing large pieces of data like hunks of BSP files, models and other things. HLDS allocates this heap from system memory.
-zone specifies size, in kilobytes, of piece of memory that will stores small pieces of data like cvar names and values. All command arguments (that could be accessed via Cmd_Argv()) are also stored there. HLDS allocates "zone" from internal heap. It will be better to don't use these parameters unless you clearly understand what they mean. |
